The Beauty In Me

This poem is specially put to fight racism; because I know how it feels when a five year old is called black.  The Beauty In Me Like a Rainbow full of colours, And a field of various flowers, different people make the world full, because different makes it beautiful. If a black raven is pretty, And a brown eagle is a sight to see, I can stand out too, I'm black, but a human like you. Don't laugh at me, because then you cannot see, that I am a piece of nature, and I will remain one, forever. I'm black, you're right, but so is the sky at night. And for a candlelight dinner, there's no time finer. So if you still don't see,  it won't bother me, for it's seen by nature, and I believe in her.  - By Aanya Shah

The Storm

The Storm The wind is heavy, and outside it's rainy. I look out sadly, the past few days have been gloomy. Why can't the wind sweep away, the rude things they say, and the rain wash all, miseries that make me fall? For others it may be sad, but for me it's not bad, while they seek shelter for their notes, my paper boat floats. So you see beloved, by the rain I am loved, for when I went to catch my boat, I saw a tiny little note. I smiled when it saw who it was from, it said- with love, the storm. - By Aanya Shah
